Bio

Kristine Ploug joined The National Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment (http://www.dadiu.dk/english/) in 2005 when the Academy was established, and has been part of building it to its current structure. Together with MEDIA Desk Denmark, Kristine has been in charge of creating an annual games seminar that has bought a number of international speakers to Denmark and created an annual meeting point for the industry, researchers and students. Kristine was also one of the initiators of the Nordic Game Education Network. Prior to joining the Academy, Kristine had her own company where one of her projects was to develop content for a European website with educational games for children. She was also one of the founders and editors of the web magazine www.artificial.dk covering the world of digital art.Kristine holds an MA in Danish Language and Literature from University of Copenhagen (2002) with a thesis on net.art. She has also been a visiting scholar at New York University (2000).
